If someone is chasing me with a gun should I go help them?

Well, first you should save yourself, like making sure you don't get shot. If you do escape, I recommend going to the police. If you really want to help them, you should make sure he or she doesn't hurt other people first. Really, helping them doesn't mean just talking to them. You don't know if by going near them they might suddenly turn on you with the gun. You have to make sure that they actually take those words you tell them into proper action (i.e. turning themselves in).

I wouldn't help them, whoever them are, I would run like a thief.

Well, about a year or two ago, maybe longer, didn't the women who a convict broke into her house AT GUNPOINT, start reading to him from Rick Warrens Book about a Purpose Driven Life.  She read about how God can take anything bad and turn it for good.  Gee, guess an act of kindness and love can make a world of difference.  He turned himself in and did not harm her at all.
