  1. if you dont tell no one that your working on the side-you have nothing to worry about. if you inform then you might lose what ever that you have for income.DONT TELL ANYONE THAT YOUR WORKING ON THE SIDE. this gives you more money down the road but spend it slowly!

  2. You don't know the circumstances of the person concerned. They may have problems unknown to you. They may have family to support, there could be millions of reasons why they are working on the side. Don't do anything, just leave alone. Well that's my advice, take it or leave it, c'est la vie, etc.

  3. If you are asking about working under the table (ie being paid cash - no taxes withheld), it happens all the time.  Is it being paid by an individual or bonafide company?  It is illegal in either case but a company can be shut down for it.  Unless it is huge $amounts by an individual - it usually goes on without penalty.  If IRS finds out they can estimate the "hidden income" and assess taxes, penalties, fees.  You can report the individual to the IRS but would probably need their SS# and/or the company name.  If the person in question is bilking welfare or some other support system - you can just call that office and report them - get the phone number from the government section of the phone book for the affected agency/department.

Be aware that just because you rat them doesn't mean the agency will respond - very frustrating.

  4. the income support

  5. angel D ....ITS PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHAT MAKE ME SICK IF EVERYONE HAD THAT ATTITUDE WE WOULD ALL BE DOING IT I WORK HARD AND SO DOES MY HUSBAND AND WE PAY FOR OUR TAXES WHY SHOULD WE LET PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH IT ITS PEOPLE LIKE THAT WHO GET EVERYTHING AND THE WORKING FOLK GET NOTHING OF THE GOVERNMENT .......ANSWER TO THE QUESTION DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SECURITY OR INLAND REVENUE

  6. Contact your local Social security office and ask them for the number that you can report someone you think is claiming income support and is earning cash in hand.

You can report them anonymously if you wish to do so.

  7. Is it any of your business?

  8. Well, the people at inland revenue would probably arrest you. They like to cripple people trying to make ends meet.

  9. Inland revenue?!

  10. They can be caught and can go to jail for this. We should inform to POLICE about such persons!!!

  11. If they were caliming any state benefits the DHSS would be interested.

If they were paying no tax or insurance, the relevant departments would be interested.

Also the employers might be breaking the law if they weren't deducting tax or insurance.

By not paying tax, insurance or defrauding the DHSS the rest of us have to pay more than our fair share.
