  1. You should practice everyday if possible and take driving lessons at least three times a week.....

  2. I assign my students at least 1 hour per week (cumulative - doesn't have to be done all at once), but recommend much, much more.  The more time you have behind the wheel, the more experience you have and the less likely you will get into a collision.  NHTSB recommends 1000 hours before you get your license, but most states only require 50-100, depending on whether you take a driver education course or not.

Ask to drive whenever possible.  To the store, your friends, to school, etc. etc.  Also ask if you can drive part of the way - especially if you're going on a longer trip.  You (and your parents) may not want to drive on the freeway, but you can certainly drive to it, and also when you get off.  Get as much experience outside of your familiar neighborhoods/city streets as possible.  The experience will help you become a better driver.

  3. 60 hrs before the test is recommendedd

  4. Everyday! whenever you have the chance you should drive, that way you can get as much practice. also they want like 50 hours total before you get your license, at least here they do!

  5. they should practice until they and the instructor feels comfortable that they won't ram into a wall at 90 miles per hour.

    Good luck
