Can he just not take your statement if he believes the person that hit the back of your car is right?

Does he normally talk to the person that got hit first?

If your rear ended cause guy behind you wasn't paying attention and your say stopped at a traffic light.

This all happened to me.

The other guy was also hostile and could have hit someone blaming everybody didn't do enough for him.

Should I report the officer for ignoring me all together on purpose and him telling his opinion even to my family who called concerned.

  1. The police officer should have talked with all parties involved to fill out a proper report.  I suggest that you contact his supervisor and tell him what happened at the scene of the accident.  Tell him that you were never spoken to by the officer.  If you don't get anywhere with the supervisor, you go to his supervisor and so on up the chain of command.  If you have to, speak with the Chief of Police or Sheriff.  One thing, keep your cool and explain the circumstances.  Be firm, but if you start yelling, screaming, accusing, etc. you will get absolutely no where and no one will talk with you.

  2. It depends on the state you live in. In most states, no matter what the factors that play into it, if you rear end someone it's automatically your fault.  There really isn't anything you can do about it. Sure, you could fight it in court, but in the end it boils down to the state's laws on responsibility, and if you're (as I said) in a state where you would be considered to be at fault,  then you're out of luck.
