If someone is traveling at 7.4 knots, what is that in mph?

If you know could u tell me how to do the conversion, so next time i could figure it out on my own? The other things is, if u were traveling this fast on a boat how far would you have gone in 24 hours? Thank you!

  1. One knot (nautical mile) is equal to roughly 1.15 miles.  Therefore, 7.4 knots would be equal to 8.51 miles.

    to figure out how far you've gone you just multiply 8.51 by 24 which would be 204.24 miles.
