what does that say about the power of prayer?

You see people on the news who find their loved ones after they get lost, and they run around like morons yelling, "I knew Jesus would find her!" or "god brought my baby back to me."

So if we set someone up and "punked" them into believing a loved one was lost/dead/kidnapped, and let them go through the harrowing, gut wrenching, tear inducing ordeal of believing their loved one was gone, then said, "SURPRISE... you've been punked", would they think the prayers worked, or would the realize they accomplished nothing?

Or, would they just be too enraged to get into a thoughtful reflection on the alleged power of prayer?

  1. I would like to make people think miracles have happened then punk them!

  2. 'punk'd'

that's the title of the program, you used it's name incorrectly.

  3. I think they would be too busy swearing and beating up Ashton Kutcher to offer thoughtful reflection.

  4. That is sick. Someone could die or get severely traumatized from a stupid stunt like that. I suppose there might be something to prayer -that has nothing to do with Jesus - but is a result of positive thinking and energy. It's like the quantum placebo effect.
