If someone picks my answer as Best Answer, how can I thank them for doing so?

Is there some way other than email? What if they have email blocked? Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but I believe in courtesy and thanking someone if they do something nice for you.

Me too girl, I just got a best answer, so I know how you feel,courtesy is the sign of a nice person, well done. I don` know how to let them know, sorry.

I leave a comment saying 'thank you'.

the only real way is to email or message them. thats about it, if they have that feature blocked, then you cant do anythink about it.

what is the point? you told them the answer and it helped them.. So you get a reward// What is the point :S

You don't need to say thank-you.  They are thanking you for giving them a helpful and informative answer.  

Or, you could say "thanks for best answer in advance" sorry, i'm not sure.  you could reply to another one of their ?s and say "thanks for giving me the best answer before"

I always check when I get the best answer email, I want to see which question I was getting praised for. I suppose you can try emailing them, otherwise just take it and feel good about helping someone :)

Nice thought. I haven't been doing it and don't know if I will as I don't imagine many people look again at their postings after they have chosen Best Answer.........or am I missing something?

You can email them, if they allow email from other users, or leave a comment on their question under the comment section after it has closed.

I'd like to thank people too but i guess email and IM is the only direct option!

If the person is allowed to be emailed, then email them and say thank you. If not then just go to the answer where you got best answer and leave a comment saying thank you etc..
