If you mean cans of food, yes I would.  The post office has had their carriers do that.

I assume you mean beverage containers to be redeemed for the deposit.  Yes I would.  The boy scouts do that in my area all the time.

Twice a year they set up a central location for drop off. It is a big fundraiser for them
