  2. dream on ;)

  3. 3 points. The reason is because the dunk started behind the 3 point line.

  4. it would count as 4 points

  5. took off from 3 point distance most likely a three.Never will happen ........... or will it???

  6. Shocked twice reading through the question and the answers:

    - shocked when I saw some people saying that such an easy question as this is a good question, and

    - shocked again when I saw a couple of people actually giving wrong answers.

Edit: The funniest answer was the one where the guy actually looked up the correct clauses in the NBA rule book on the internet, copied & pasted them so that we can all see, then gave a wrong answer because he read it wrong.

  7. it would only count as 2 points just like a dunk. the rules state...

"(1) The shooter must have at least one foot on the floor outside the  three-point field goal line prior to the attempt."

    it also states....

           (3) The shooter may contact the three-point field goal line, or land in the two-point field goal area, after the ball is released."

so with those 2 points being said when the shooter makes an attempt he has to have a foot behind the line and after the ball is RELEASED they are allowed to land in the 2point area..

  8. uMmMm...3 points.

  9. That's very unlikely judging how far the three-point arc is, but if someone could ever do that then he will be awarded 3 points automatically because he launched outside the arc. That's the same principle when you shoot the ball, If your feet do not touch the line you'll be awarded with three. But with the degree of difficulty for the dunk you are proposing that should be awarded with four LOL.

    Hope this helps.

  10. What up Andy K,

According to the current rules in place- it would count as 3 points.  Although i imagine that if such a thing started happening you might see the rule change.

    It'd be crazy to see!

  11. It would be a 3 because you technically were behind the 3 point line when you scored.

  12. It should count for 3 points. The rule for 3 pointers is that your feet must behind the arc, and technically if you were to dunk behind the 3 point line your feet would be behind the arc. I would think it would count as 3.

Good question by the way, I never thought of that lol.

  13. It should be two because you have to shoot it from behind the three point line and I don't think dunking counts

  14. i am not sure it will count as a 3 point cause you body touches the rim

    hope someone will make it

  15. That will never happen in real life. Videogames is a different story (hello NBA Jam!)

But if someone dunk from the 3 pt line then it's counted as 3 pts just like a 3 pt shoot.

  16. It would only be 2 points . Yes your feet would have to be behind the 3 point line , but you must also release the ball behind the line .
