  1. If you are asking this question then you already know the answer.

  2. its not a matter of right or wrong, they wronged you so you want to wrong them back. neither are acceptable. That's why I take the courteous high moral road, I hit it back to them with a driver so they can wait until were out of the way and hit again.

  3. Its always wrong to do that......but, if it happens twice in a round, then .........

  4. Its wrong!!! You suppose to report this to the manager..  That the etiquet...

But honestly, I never do that.... I will give the ball back to them by hit that ball with my 3 wood.

  5. Yes, it is TOTALLY WRONG to do that..and shows poor sportmanship..BUT it sure FEELS GOOD DOING IT!!!

Who knows they might have just hit the best shot of their life ..I already did that but they just told me off and congratulated me at the same time..I was SOOOO embarrassed and I learned to wait even if I think I won;t hit them...

  6. Did he say he was sorry? People make mistakes.

  7. Yes. Don't let your anger get the better of you or take anger management lessons. Like Happy Gilmore.

  8. it's true that they should not tee off unless the people in front is of safe range...or the caddy give the green light at them...what they should have done is to ask you to let them through...you have the right to be angry...but stomping ball is not what a gentlemen will do...aspecially in golf..

  9. It is a dishonorable thing to do.  Golf is a gentleman's game, you should always conduct yourself with dignity and respect.

That includes showing tolerance for the mistakes of others, whether intentional or not.

  10. That is a punk move.

  11. Its wrong to play like a bunch of split-tails.  Get your a** down the fairway and quit waiting for the green to clear before topping a 50-yard 3-iron from 165.

    Move it, hacker!

  12. Of course it's wrong.  Pick up the ball and put in your pocket instead.

  13. yes...did they at least yell fore

  14. if its only like 100 to 200 metres the yes. they deserve it.

  15. There are two sides to every story and I haven't heard the other one.

Sure there is no excuse for hitting into the group ahead of you unless you honestly did not mean to do it. However, some people get a little upset by slow play and tee off a little earlier than they should. Maybe this was a sign for you to pick up the pace.

Always be aware of the group ahead and behind. If you play slowly, let the group behind through. However, if things are backed up ahead of you then it is not your fault. This is where the ranger needs to step in and take charge.

If it is a question of speed of play, always talk to the ranger about it. That is part of their job.

  16. Remember,

The bozo will be hitting behind you for the rest of the course.

    How's your health insurance?

  17. Yes, It's wrong.  You are supposed to pick their ball up and throw it in the water!

  18. I don't know, is it wrong to take the law into your own hands?  I think you know the answer.  There's always a right way to handle things.  Even balls.

  19. If they did it on purpose then I understand, but if it was an accident, that was a little unnecessary. Sounds pretty funny though. hahaha

  20. If somebody tees off early and almost hits you , do what I do

just take thier ball , by the time hes done looking for it your

two holes ahead. There is no excuse for being impatient

and almost hitting someone with your ball, they should be

banned from the course. If they did by accident then they

have no excuse even being on a golf course, if it was a dog leg and they didint see thats ok. But if PFLEM Below me

thinks I'm playing too slow and drives a ball right next to

me hes gonna be running out of balls real quick.

  21. People need to stop stomping balls, kids these days...

  22. Yeah, it's wrong, and pointless- they get full relief from being plugged through the green, so your indignant tantrum pains them not.

  23. Accidents do happen especially on blind shots.  Occasionally, some one does hit the ball a lot further than they thought.  Just take that into consideration before you act.

Pace of play is a funny thing to me.  The Pro's are sent off two at a time 12 - 15 minutes apart.  These guys are good. They play 3 - 4 hour rounds.  They send the weekend hackers off 4 at a time, 8 to 10 minutes apart.  These guys are not that good.  But weekend pros playing behind them expect to play 3-4 hours rounds also.  These guys will hit down on you in attempt to speed you up.  It supposed to be a warning.  I am a fair golfer who could play the 3 hour round with no one if front of me.  But it wasn't always that way.  And I know that I am better than most golfers who play the courses I play.  So when the weekend pro hits down on my group, I just assist them with acknowledging the fact that they hit down on me.  I would notify the marshal the next time they came around.  After that, if it happens again, then their ball is mine.  They can come and claim it if they like.

  24. one time these guys hit right into me, so i hit their ball back at them. Almost hit one of them. These guys had to have done it intentionally, b/c it was a par 3.

  25. my suggestion is to read them and see if they did it on purpose. if so, send their ball to china, if not and they appoligize, let it go once, but next time they p**s you off, let them have it
