This is one of those questions Psychology students sit for weeks on end and can't figure out. Math students learning binary logic works it out in one second, two seconds if you had some peanut-butter sandwich stuck on the roof of your mouth.

It's a double negative thing.

If they were honest, they would say they were honest.

If they were a liar, they would say they were honest.

Hence, if the liar said they were lying that would mean he is being...

Yes, if they were telling the truth that time they are still admitting to being a liar most of the time.

If they were telling a lie, and they actually aren't a liar, then by saying this they are lying and therefor a liar.

because if they say they are a liar and they are not, then they are liying, and a liar doesn't have to lie about everything to be a liar so they wouldn't be lying about that, but a none liar would actually be lying, therefore a liar..

that's a good question,well okay they say thier a liar then their telling the truth about them being a liar.So if their telling the truth about them being a liar then their obviously lying about being a liar,so no i wouldn't beleive them,ow my brain hurts!

Yeah, definately. Stats say the average person lies 4 times in ten minutes, or 80,000 times a year. So if someone tells you they're a liar, then they most likely are!

It depends on whether I was telling the truth or not.  Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life."  So every life has truth in it, which can not be trully denied.

I would assume they would mean they have a tendency to lie. Nobody does anything 100% of the time. But I think your going for the whole "I'm lying to you right now" catch 22 to which there is no answer.
