  1. 00 44

  2. 0044

  3. +44 and miss out the first zero

  4. 0044

miss off first zero for number

    eg 00442222222222

  5. From the US it's actually 01144 then the number.  Drop the 0 from the beginning of the number.

So the UK number 0207 444 5555 from the US would be:

    01144 207 444 5555

The International dialling prefix FROM the US is 011

  6. To explain some of the other answers given above, when placing an overseas call the first part of the number you dial is the international access prefix, and this depends upon the country FROM which you are calling.  From most of western Europe it is 00, from the U.S. or Canada it is 011.

You then follow with the country code (44 for the U.K.) and the U.K. area code & number, omitting the initial zero.

So the London number 020-7222-1234 would be dialed as:

00-44-20-7222-1234 from most European countries, but

    011-44-20-7222-1234 from the United States.

  7. 0044 but do not dial the 0 on the original UK number ie if you are calling 0123 45++++ you would dial 0044123etc.

  8. 011+44+the number - the 0

  9. 00 44 (then drop the 0 from the actual number)

  10. From outside the UK its 00 44.

  11. 0044 and leave off the first 0 of your number.
