Would the court excuse him from child support just because at the time of conception he was 17 and the mother was 22. And would he be able to bring that up after three years?

  1. Nothing would excuse him from child support... and I'm not sure what you mean by 'bringing it up'. If the father was 17, statutory rape charges couldn't have been brought in most states against the mother.

    They certainly couldn't be now...

  2. Courts tend to not order child support during the father's minority (when he is under 18) or still in high school. Once the father graduates you should take him to court to have the child support order modified. Even if the father is in college doesn't excuse him from supporting the child. He could still work in the meantime and go to school part time.

Also, the only way a parent can "sign away his or her rights" is by having the child adopted.  A parent cannot sign away his or her rights to pay child support.

  3. probably.but he will have to pay!

  4. Would the court excuse him - No.

It does not matter how old he was, he is still responsible to help support the child.

I wish men would think with their brains before having s*x with a woman, instead of thinking with their genitals!

  5. He can't get out of child support short of signing over his rights.
