say someone bought an old out of state license plate at a flea market. and took the real one off, and put the fake one out, and filled up there 24 gallon tank worth $100 at exxon mobil and drove off and got right onto the interstate stopped at the very next exit, and switched it back to normal.

If they drove off and got caught, what would happen? what is the penality?

this person doesnt believe in stealing, and this person doesnt believe he or her would be stealing, this person thinks the oil companies are the crooks, robbing people without a gun, and making bs excuses to steal from people.

so do u recommend this person do this?

  1. wait why would u even do that??? no offense idk what thats for >.< im slow

  2. The oil companies DO NOT own the gas stations.  They are mostly owned by single business owner.  It is no different from going to a store and shop lifting.

My friend go caught shop lifting, and for few dollars, now he's go a criminal record.  Now every time he applies for a job he has to worry if they will check.  And once he gets a job, often he has to stay there even if hates the job, because he is worried the next company (if he moves) will check his criminal record.

    All for few dollars.

    Good Luck...

  3. Oh yes you should definitely do this.

Show those oil companies who's boss!

    You are high.

  4. its already being done all over the place ,if you get caught doing this its going to cost you 100 times more than the tank of gas would have cost you, they usually do catch everyone that does this,i don't recommend that you even try this, the results you get you wont like i guarantee you this, good luck,

  5. Be sure to ask for a Jury trial

  6. That's the sort of thing that starts out as a prank and ends up on the evening news as a police shooting.

So, naturally, you believe that taking something (gasoline) from someone (oil company) you do not like is okay because you don't like them anyway?  Does that mean it is okay to steal something else from people you do not like?  That is the same mentality as a terrorist who believes it is okay to kill people because they believe their cause is just.

If you don't approve of the price of gas, don't use gas.  You are not being forced to buy gas.  If you don't buy gas, the companies are not getting your money.  Deny the oil companies your money by using some alternative.  That'll teach them a lesson.

If you believe that gas companies are making excess profits, buy stock in gas companies and get your share of those exces profits.  In fact, it is gas taxes that keep the price of gas high, not oil company profits.

  7. Let's see. First they'll hit you with larceny (theft). Next they'll possibly hit you with Fraud for the plates. Then they'll probably give you another count of larceny for having stolen plates. They'll take your drivers license. They'll fine you for the prics of the gas stolen and then some. Personally, I've pump and jumped several times and never had any problem with it. Even went back to the same gas station the next day. I wouldn't reccomend it and there were times when I felt that I would get caught, but anyways, hope this answered your question.

  8. It is a serious crime and will land you in jail, with big fines, or both.

Remember that if you do that, the station owner is the one that you're stealing from and would have to absorb the loss.  The oil company is going to bill the station owner for the gas even if it got stolen.
