What if someone were to enter a water tower to go swimming in the United States, and they got sucked through the big tube that runs down the middle of it, where would they go? The tube goes straight underground. Where would that person end up?

  1. The pipes do split up and get smaller as the branch out so you wouldnt get very far underground.  In some cases there are plates or bars over the inlet pipe but not always.  In most cases the outlet pipe is to small to get sucked into to begin with.  Now theoretically speaking it is possible to get sucked into the pipe in rare circumstaces.  If the pipe were big enough and there were no obstructions over the outlet pipe and the water company were draining the tank for maintanence and nobody went up to look before they started and you managed to get into the fence and you managed to break all the locks in the tank and you just happened to all of this in broad daylight on the particular day the chose to do the maintance you it MIGHT be possible to get sucked up into the pipe, but not likely.
