Hostage:

A person or persons held by one party in a conflict as a pledge pending the fulfilment of an agreement.

Unless all of the multiple personalities magically appeared in physical form, it would only be regarded as a suicide attempt by one person. How would anyone else know that the person threatening to kill himself has multiple personalities? Even so, a hostage is not considered just a "personality".

ROFL that's a hilarious question but it sure gives a person something to think about.  I guess it could be a hostage situation or maybe even kidnapping.

Yes it is. If you take a person is tooken hostage it is not only physcially but also mentally. You are taking away their freedom to think the way they would normally think by putting them into danger and the mind is also put into danger while being held hostage. Most likely when being held hostage you deal with a emotional fear and this is where the hostage is considered mental... so if a persononality takes over another it is a hostage.
