...But you have a receipt/billing info which shows the correct address, are you responsible for paying for the extra shipping costs? I just don't think I should have to pay for the bungling mistakes of others. The seller is asking me to pay for the costs. Any advice on what rights I have on the matter and how I can use them?

  1. absolutely no way you should pay the shipping costs!! If you paid through paypal, definately let them be aware of what happened and get their advice

  2. Ups is supposed to pick up the wrong shipment and correct it, they are the liable party, unless the seller bungled it, then he's on the hook.

  3. spend the money ona a jam donut

  4. If all the information on the transaction has your correct addresss there should be no confusion as to where the item goes. If it has gone to the wrong address it is the shipper who made the error he should eat the extra shipping costs not feed them to you.

  5. If the seller sent the item to another address by mistake, that is not your responsibility.  You do not have to pay for extra postage.  If your seller insists, you can report it to eBay:  Help >> Contact Us >> Buying & Finding >> Problems with sellers >> Seller asked for additional fees (listing ended).

  6. UPS/PO pays if the package was addressed to the right place, but delivered to the wrong place.  The shipper pays if they shipped it to the wrong address.  You pay if you provided the wrong address.  Depends on who is at fault.
