i looked on bestbuy to see how much they are just because i was curious, and there was only one made by sony and it was $400. My PS3 was $400. Did i get a really good deal for a console and a Bluray player all in one? or is the bluray player in the PS3 not as good as the one i saw at besbuy online.

  1. Blu Ray players on PS3 are BETTER, they get all the updates like Blu RAy Profile 2.0 thatconnects your movie to the internet and lets you view the menu and special features s well as online news while you watch.

PS3s without blu ray players wouldnt be able to play PS3 games and they would probably cost around 200$

  2. it would cost 5 dalers

  3. People that review them say that the ps3's blu-ray player is better than the stand alone.  I agree.  The blu-ray is actually free.  The ps3 should cost more.  But SONY thinks of the consumer unlike M$.

  4. You chose right by getting the PS3. Since it can be updated as needed it really is the best bet as far a blu-ray players go. Plus you get gaming, multimedia and internet all in one.

  5. The Blu-ray that's in the PS3 is just as good as the other Blu-ray players in Best Buy that cost the same price.

Sony is selling the Playstation 3 much lower than it should be sold for... honestly the PS3 should still be selling for about $100 dollars more because you get so much built in the the system plus Blu-ray. If Sony took out the Blu-ray, the PS3 could probably be sold for about $299.

  6. after the manufacturing of ps3 the cost goes down with time and the latest cost of blu ray drives has been 187 USD so just subtract that from the stock keeping unit prices. but of course Sony would sell their console for a higher price since they lose profit on it
