  1. Yes, sometimes even better than if they were fresh.

  2. they should be fine. discoloration is common and is caused by exposure to air.

  3. They have oxidised that's all - we used to make them into mince. Still quite edible but non too saleable.

  4. Unless they're past the expiration date, yes.  That will happen sometimes when it's exposed to air......

  5. Yes it's more than likely good, the expiration date means best if sold by not throw it away immediately! Inspect the meat, wash it off, then smell it. You will be able to tell if it is ruined or not. A little brown is ok, but if it's starting to turn green that's a lil to far gone for me... In the grocery store there is a reduced meat section, when the expiration date arrives they mark the price down and sell it cheaper. You can find some excellent deals, and if you are in the store at the right time you can get it as soon as they mark it down, some of it looks perfect! Right place at the right time!!! You can stock up with on sale meat and freeze it. Once frozen the date doesn't mean anything.......

  6. They're fine. The grocery store I used to work at during high school would mark those steaks down for quick sale, then save me all the filet mignons! We cooked them all the time and they were great!
