If terrorist groups are really a part of worldwide networks...?

why has the u.s. government been so concerned with certain traditional state governments, such as those in Iran, Iraq, and north Korea?

Because Iran, Iraq, and North Korea are huge issues as well. And we have not stopped concerning ourselves with terrorists, we still do as much as possible in terms of defense. But if Obama gets elected, chances are we will stop defending ourselves from terrorists, and guess what? It doesn't take a genius to figure it out. But since so many democrats will read this, I guess I'll have to explain it. When we take our defenses down, we will be extremely vulnerable to attack, and Obama will get nowhere with his "peaceful negotiations."
