If th Earth stopped spinning, how much would the effects of centripital force change our perception of gravity

I assume the affects would be measurable at the equator vs at the poles where centripital force is most likely, negligible

  1. Exactly the same effect as if you would travel to one of the Earth's poles. Not much.


  2. The effect of centrifugal force on gravity is very small it is less than 10 mGal..(1x10E-5 of g)

    so the gravity will be the same

  3. The Earth is slightly bulged at the equator.  This results in just a little bit more gravity at the equator than at the poles.  Obviously the difference is so small, no one can tell.  The Earth's spinning makes even less of a difference than this.
