If the 2016 Summer Olympics are held in Chicago, illinois USA, would you attend the events? Why or why not?

Chicago, Illinois USA is one of the four finalist for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games and the games of the XXXI Olympiad. If Chicago is to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, it would be the first Summer Olympics in the United States in 20 Years (the last one was in Atlanta) and the first Olympics in the United States since 2002 when Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.

If Chicago, Illinois is to be the host of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, would you attend the games in Chicago. Why or why not?

If Chicago does host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, I would make plans to attend the games because I believe Chicago is a great city for Starting The Dream and is a World Class City for the world to unite.

Yes, I would.  It would only be a short distance from my home.

I would not attend the games.

Reason -- I have no interest in sports. I don't dislike it, I just don't have enough interest to go watch them.

Yes! I will be attending. Chicago is my city and a great city at that. Our city is rich in culture and can have an opportunity to host hundreds of athletes from around the world. They are playing to build the Olympic stadium in my neighborhood, although it'll be in 2016, I'm sure I'll be living close. I hope we get the bid.

No would not... sports are way over blown and to much money is wasted on it...and I don't like  going to events where there are huge crowds....but I do like Chicago... never lived there but spent a couple of years in school and like the place real well... I would not like to see it ruined by what the olympics does to an area..

Chicago would OWN the Olympics! That's all there is to it. I'd be pretty excited to attend. I'm saving my money now, just in case:).

I was born & raised in Chicago and know it like the back of my hand and it would be great if my city got the bid.

I've heard some folks say "Well, Chicago's a "small" big city", which isn't true at all! If a "small" city like Athens can host the Olympics, then Chi-town definately can.

It has the architecture, myriad of cultures, great entertainment, beaches and a great history to boot.

I TOTALLY WOULD....but i rather be in them for softball but they're taking softball out of the games so maybe i can compete for volleyball....hopefully...=] but if i dont make it of course i would go and watch!!!
