  1. So they can lock the door to use the restroom.

  2. So the attendants can have bathroom breaks?......lol......

  3. it needed to be locked up while it was being built, so the fixtures and merchandise did not walk off.

  4. Because, every four years, there comes a special day.

And it means that they're still open 365 days for that year ;)

    Go Feb 29 :D

  5. I would say its when they need to close because of an emergency or maybe if there is only one employee there and they have to use the bathroom.

Plus, maybe the store before it became 7-11 had normal day hours of like 8am-7pm so they had locks installed and this new 7-11 store figured why pay the money to remove the locks. Most stores today are in previously owned buildings.

  6. They are on for security reasons, if they are to ever get robbed they lock the store down.

  7. Because the staff need to go to the toilet

  8. You need to be able to secure the crime scene

  9. 7-eleven stores were originally only open between the hours of 7am to eleven pm.  When they contracted to have stores built, they got a good deal on doors by signing a 100-year contract.  So now, every time a store is built, the same company provides the doors, and they're still provided according to 1960's specifications, but the good news is they pay 1960s prices!  You could say they're "locked into" purchasing doors with locks included.

  10. I guess they close on February 29!

  11. If it's open 24 hours a day, why is it still called a 7-11?

It's a legal requirement to be able secure the building.

  12. decoration

  13. It used to be that the manager could close the store one day a year, like for a holiday.  Also, not all 7-11s are 24 hour stores.

  14. Stocktaking.
