Question:

If the Atlanta Thrashers crash and burn, do they make a sound? And do the fans even hear?

I can only recall EVER seeing one or two Thrashers fans ever inhabiting this section (one of which I just saw recently and hope he responds to this not-so-nice Q.)

ANYWAY, my question is, if the Atlanta Thrashers play another poor season in the poor history of the poor franchise, do people even notice? There's gotta be at least some season ticket holders, RIGHT? Someone cares about this team, RIGHT? They don't exactly have empty arenas for games, so someone's out there, right?

Then where are they?

(and this is coming from a Tampa [Bay so the Clearwater people don't get pissed at me] fan. In no way is this the all-too-familiar attack on Southern hockey.)

  1. They'll notice......especially when Kovalchuk starts to make noise demanding he wants out!

  2. I wouldnt exactly call them "fans".Its more like people finding a cool place to go to escape the heat! You will notice that their attendance is higher in the warmer months than the colder ones. When ownership and management gives up on the team-the fans follow!

  3. Bin to Atlanta once. Was really impressed that I could drive to Augusta and Savannah on a tank of gas. Got my clubs and never went back.

Sorry boys and girls but when I'm in Georgia I think golf,  beach, and midnight in the garden.

Kovalchuk won't make any noise. In 2010 he is in that crop of 20 something free agents, who will show Crosby and Ovechkin that they blew it.

  4. I have seen one ATL fan, ever, and I live in Georgia and have lived in Georgia since the inception of the franchise.

That being said, I am six hours out of Atlanta, live right on the Florida border, and have a best friend who is a TBL fan, so when I go to games, its never at Philips anyways.

  5. I'm a Thrashers fan but I'm kinda new so you probly wont know me.

Me and my dad help season tickets to the Thrashers games sence the start of the franchise in 1999. However, recently, we have dumped those tickets 'cause of Wadell and the sour direction Atlanta is headed.

Yes. There are people out there who care about this team. Me, for 1. And I'm right here, hopeing we can hold the good players we have.

  6. Lil Jon is a Thrashers fan.  His son plays hockey.

  7. TBL, I have always wondered that myself.  Being that we are 4 and a half hours from Georgia, you would assume that we are bond to run into a Atlanta fan sooner or later.  I have NEVER seen anybody in a Thrashers jersey or shirt.  It would really suck to support a team that struggles to make it to the playoffs.
