If my interpretation is that it was all invented to scare people into empowering the church's leaders, who's to say that's any less valid than your interpretation that homosexuality is a sin, but they shouldn't be stoned, etc, etc, etc?

  1. I do not disagree. Believe what you want. Live and let live. What another believes has no ramifications on my life.

  2. your interpretation sounds pretty untrustworthy to me, I get the feeling that you haven't read a word of the bible

read it, then come back and tell us your interpretation

EDIT: If you had actually read the bible, then you would know that the 'sin' has to do with contradicting God's commandment to Adam and Eve, 'to be fruitful and multiply'

    the sin of wasting sperm

  3. Ah men brother.  I think religion is a very personal thing and that you should choose your own best path for good; regardless of what faith or spirituality you have.

  4. You are correct...it was a way of scaring people, and people are still stupid and gullible enough to believe it up to this day.

    It's ridiculous...

  5. God gave us brains and reason. We should use them to distinguish between a valuable teaching and ancient propaganda.
