Question:

If the Chinese Gymnasts are underage does that not make the defeat of the USA even more embarrassing!?

The Younger Chinese would have had less time to perfect their performance than the older athletes of the US team. At the end of the day the best team won. lets give them the credit that is due to them.

  1. no they beat them if they don't get it right in China.

It's more embarrassing for someone who has to cheat at a game of goodwill, and in their own country. That is going to be the legacy of the Beijing Olympics.

Art of war is wrong, because if the reason that they aren't allowed to compete at a yuonger age isn't because they can't compete with the older girls, it's because their bones aren't developed and they could get hurt haven't you even been watching this?

Nelly you're an idiot what part of that was fair they cheated and there was an investigation that lasted an hour and they just checked the same information. Didn't ask family or neigbors or use school records to try to prove their age. There was nothing fair about that. If the Chinese want to cheat that is fine but they lost the respect of several countries and tainted this Olypmpic games

  2. Younger is better in gymnastics, everyone knows that........except you LOL.

That's why China used underage gymnasts LOL< they would have used older ones and not risked if younger wasn't better ; )

Nice try, but this one is a swing and a miss, try again.

  3. yes it does but the younger the people are the more flexible they are so it wasn't even fair to have a child compete in the olympics

  4. Not at all. It's wildly accepted, and proven that pre-pubescent girls are better at gymnastic events than developed girls. This is no secret.

How can you want to give credit to someone who organized a conspiracy to cheat?

  5. STOP CRYING AMERICANS. JUST ADMIT WE HAVE LOSSSTT!! FAIR AND SQAURE.

and what kind of research do you have states that a 14 year old girl has "less stress" than a 16 year old girl. you don't know her personal history. can you read her mind?!

Expierence > age. Look at the 33 year old doing gymnastics. She is twice the average gymnast out there. And she is just as gooood! Gymnast that is 2 years apart doesn't make that much of a difference.

PLUS no evidence that she is younger IOC already threw  out the complaint with a quickness.

WE HAVE LOST ADMIT IT. CHINA IS BETTER AT GYMNASTICS. THE END. STOP CRYING AMERICA

  6. nope. while i'm usually taking a more pro-china stand in these games, it doesnt mean that the US gymnasts were bad

first off, nastia and shawn won 1-2 in the all-around meaning that they were the best gymnasts there.

second, the US lost the team because alicia fell off the beam and then on her *** -- oh and some others stepped out of bounds (but mainly alicia's fault). if they didnt mess up, then they probably wouldve won.

oh but please dont give me that "younger kids dont feel pressure" c**p. if the entire country is counting on you to win, and you've been working at it your entire life and the country invested so much in you, i dont care how hold you are, but you will feel the pressure.

  7. I don't believe the myth that younger gives you more flexibly and no fear.

At the team's competition; Alicia Sacramone failed her country by falling down on the floor and on the beam but at the individual competition; without any faults and Alicia; US won Gold and Silver. What happened to the Chinese agility and flexibility and no fear?

He Kexin and Nastia were tied even though the Australian judge gave the Chinese girl the Gold.

This proofs that if the Chinese girls are underaged; they are still somewhat equal to the 16-18 year olds.

Remember US has 9 medals while China has 6 in Women's competition. Experienced still wins and the advantage of being young is bogus.

[[Jim Morrison]] Then the proof of the govt forging passport comes to play. If it is guilty, then the girls isn't the right age. If is NOT, then all 5 suspected girls met the requirement age. The evidence on the Internet is not enough...the core evidence lies around a confession from a top official.

  8. Actually, no. The 14 year olds are more flexible and can do things that the 16 year olds can't. That's why it's 16+. It has nothing to do with perfecting the performance, it's definitely the age.

  9. I'm done answering this question. It's asked about every three minutes.

  10. US has some 14 year olds that could have skooled those Chinese, but we followed rules so we lost.

  11. The US gymnasts have nothing to be embarassed about.  They played by the rules and did a great job.

Edit - Why make this a question about the US?  What about every other country that performed more poorly than the US?  Jealousy maybe?

  12. Wow Mikey, what a fantastic question.  Good job, you should be really proud of yourself for thinking that one up all by yourself.

  13. Um. No.

Why do you think that there are so few gymnasts over like, 25?

The younger you are, the more limber you are, the more energy you have, etc. Underaged gymnasts is a huge advantage

  14. yeah the first answers right. when i was little i could do a whole bunch of flexible stuff. the younger you are, the ore flexible, light, smaller, and fearless you are, which are all things you need to be a good gymnast among other things. to us (16 and up) its more of a competition, and younger kids are just having fun and playing around pretty much. yeah they know theyre competing but its a lto easier for them. if older people could do harder stuff and make it easier on our 16 year olds they would have,

  15. Not necessarily. Often an athlete loses some of their skill when they go through puberty, as their hormones are less stable and growth spurts can cause them to become more clumsy and less athletic. When I went through puberty, my race times in running slowed a great deal. It happens to many athletes.

The rules are there for a reason. Doing too much strenuous work at a young age can result in later injuries that stick with you for a long time, and in a sport like gymnastics injury is fairly common.
