If the Doctor showed up in the TARDIS tomorrow and offered to take you anywhere, anytime, for one day...?

...what day would you choose?

Mine would be November 25, 1976, the Winterland Ballroom in California. I'm obsessed with The Band and would have loved to be at the very last concert they ever gave with their original lineup. But I'd love to hear other choices.

  1. Honestly, I'd let him decide.  But since it's only for one day, I'd ask that he kindly calm down his hyperactivity and tendency to distract himself so that he doesn't under or over shoot the intended target in space and time.

Since it can be "anywhere" anytime, he probably knows about spectacular places far beyond this planet.  He's always referencing one fantastic sight or another.  I'll just ask him to pick the most beautiful, or the most meaningful, and take me there.

And then of course we'll get into trouble, I'll help him save the day (or I'll get captured with him and we'll bond, and then circumstances beyond our control will see us released), we'll get back to the TARDIS... and he'll offer me the key since I was never REALLY a "one trip" kind of girl.

    *dreams*

  2. no specific date. just and time and place where fat women where prised for being fat. and not considered disgusting.

and Also back to Russia in the early 20th Century and meet Anastasia.

    Melissa

  3. I really like the suggestion by Artemis about saving Billy the Kid - excellent idea!!

However, I am a big fan of the Bronte sisters' work and I would love to go back to Haworth in the early nineteenth century and spend a day with Charlotte, Emily and Anne and see the landscape that inspired some of the most poignant scenes in their novels.

  4. I would love to go back to 14 July 1881, Fort Sumner, New Mexico and meet Billy the Kid and then prevent his murder that night by Pat Garrett.  There's a lot of speculation about what actually happened that night and whether or not it was Billy the Kid who Garrett shot and killed.  It's very likely that it was Billy the Kid who was buried in that grave in Fort Sumner, but there's no way to be certain now. He was only twenty one when Garrett is supposed to have shot him. I've been interested in this character for years now and if I could time travel with the Doctor, Fort Sumner on 14 July 1881 would be my first port of call.

  5. I'd choose Christmas Day in the year 3000! though with my luck, there'd be daleks or cybermen there too. Still one adventure with The Doctor would be quite exhilarating, enough for me to want more!

Hopefuly Captain Jack harkness would be thee also.

  6. I'd like to go to a place where you could get some implant to breathe underwater and just swim around the oceans. The coral reefs, the calmness and then I'd probably go to a dimension where David T was desperate to shag me;)
