If the Earth's surface were sterilized?

Would the deep, rock-eating organisms eventually evolve to repopulate the surface with biodiverse live?

  1. I don't know if there's any direct proof of this, but there's lots of evidence that suggests that the answer is yes.  Life began on our planet very early in the planet's history, and has been found in many environments where life was thought to be impossible.  That suggests that life is a pretty powerful force and will find a way to continue.  It might not be the specific organisms you mention, but i would bet that it would happen.


  2. if it was there would be no germs and it would probly affect the earths surface and atmosphere.
