  1. There is no way in h**l that a man with the same credentials as Palin would've even made the D list, let alone the A list.

The only thing Palin brings to the table is a set of ovaries.

I'll say this much: If Hillary wasn't going to campaign her butt off for Obama before, she is now. McCain opened up a d**n Pandora's Box for sure.

  2. No.  He had no choice but to pick a woman.  His campaign was going nowhere and needed something to bring some attention back to him.

  3. yes. he's picking a person, not a woman or man.

I'm a women and he's had my vote.

McCain is way more qualified, he doesn't need to buy votes.

  4. Perhaps...He was looking for a candidate that could relate to everyday people, that actually shared some of what us "regular joes" go through in our daily lives.  A child of working class parents, a spouse of a working class individual, five kids....one of whom is in the military.....sounds like someone I can definitely relate to!  It gives hope for "the American Dream"  that "someday, you could be president" that all our teachers told us.  I think his choice is refreshing, and would have thought so, even if the Governor was a male.

  5. no. Honestly, she's governor of ALASKA! The second most remote state in the union.

  6. Absolutely not...And if she were an intelligent, but older seasoned woman

he would not have.  ( there are plenty in the Repub. party ) What he has is

a cute, receptionist( that is what a this VP will do much like Dan Quayle) to pull in the female and youth vote  a la  People Magazine who hopefully will never have the chance to be President.

  7. if he had the same exact views as her, then yes. and i would be just as excited to vote as i am now.

  8. As an Independent....I don't think he would have chosen this way if Mrs. Palin wasn't female. He had other choices with far more to offer, especially when considering, what if something were to happen to him...

This choice seems a pull for the pro-life voters and hopefully for the female Clinton/undecided voters. From what I'm hearing on the news, and from researching myself, that part of the equation may completely backfire on many levels.

  9. no, would a man look like this in heels and a leather skirt

  10. no

part of the reason he picked her was to pull in the woman vote

  11. What a stupid question.  If Obama was white, would the Dems have nominated him over Hillary?

  12. haha,good one.

  13. No.  It came to the point that he thought that having a woman on the ticket was his best chance.  That's why more experienced males were

    excluded.  So obvious.  Good question.

  14. No, he had way better male candidates.  Her being female was a reason that he picked her, but she also does a couple of other things.  She plays well to evangelicals and she has a reputation as a reformer, which is a good thing for any candidate in this campaign.

  15. No, he has his reason for choosing a woman. And it may still backfire on him.

  16. IDK but Sarah Palin is so major pretty and thats important.  pretty girls are more popular than un-pretty girls. She is like so cool and looked so composed even when she was pregnant.

  17. The first thought I had after seeing her was "She looks like a pentacostal preachers wife." After hearing her speak "I am sure she is a pentacostal preachers wife, or she at least acts like one." for those of you who are less enlightened, this is a bad thing!!!! It is just more of what has made George W Bushes presidency an embarrassment for all americans! (wait, can I say that? will I be put in jail for my freedom of speech?) Maybe I don't really know. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No McCain would not have picked such a right wing conservative if he were a man! Because it would not work!

  18. Uh no.

  19. Let's be honest, no.  But "he" wouldn't have energized conservatives either.  "He" wouldn't have this credibility on the abortion issue, either.  In many ways, I personally think in this case, being a woman truly can make her more qualified.

  20. no, but its still we the people who elect so if you don't like the selection and they are elected the only ones to blame are ourselves.
