I believe it does provide an unfair 'emotional' lift to the Kiwis, so if they are allowed to give themselves an emotional rise minutes before kick off, than why is that allowed. Its a bit like a player using ergogenic aids or more, or like swallowing a shot of Royal Jelly and Bees oil, to bring on a natural rush. I still think they deserve to have our backs turned to them, its not our Culture, or better still walk straight up to them and star them down 10cm from their faces!

  1. what counts is between the first whistle, and the last one.

who cares what the opposition does before the game. you should be concentrating on your game. the little dance may give them an "emotional lift" but you should be prepared to play between the whistles and smash them.

  2. Im all for the haka its tradition but I dont see how the other team dnt get a lift out of it if i was standing there and saw Ali Williams doin the haka I would probaly wet myself he looks so ridiculus i dnt knw how anyone can get intimidated by that

  3. Your a tool and should keep your views to yourself as you keep making yourself look like the idiot you are

  4. If thats your premise than why arent you asking why the Fijian, Tongans and Samoans are given an advantage too foe their war dances yet they are ranked lowly. Wheres your advantage there? or are you just picking on the Allblacks for being so dominant.

No point moaning about us when the Wallaby side got 'smeshed' to pieces by the boks in the weekend. Take it out on Deans mate.

  5. No not really.  I fact, it can have the opposite effect as it can inspire the oppostion.  Australian fans sing Waltzing Matilda, and the English fans sing Swing Low Sweet Chariot.

  6. It does not give the ABs an unfair advantage. What happened to them at the World Cup. The Boks beat them in New Zealand this year, the Wallabies have also beaten them this year so I fail to see the advantage.

It is tradition and it is worthwhile. It used to be great to see how players like Kearns and Campese handled the Haka.

  7. rugby wouldn't be the same without it plus the some players would kill to stand infront of the haka and then play!

in an interview with schalk burger he said it inspires him to play to his best and is a kind of dare set by the nz team that he wants to take on!

its awesome and i'm s bok supporter! i love the haka as well as the tonga, fiji and samoa haka's!
