If the Hawks Do trade Josh To The Pistons...........?

You see the Pistons have gotten into negotiations with the Hawks and there has been talks going front and back. However sources indicated that the pistons were not interested as of yet and claimed that the Hawks organization and J-Smooth himself were asking for too much in return... and as a result both sides walked away from any possible deals and haven't talked for weeks! Nothing has been mentioned recently but to answer your question I think if such deal goes down the Hawks should look to improve by replacing Smith with Prince and Billups... in that case Prince would fill in Josh's role and Mr.Big Shot would run the point and be key to the franchise! Those are two players that know how to play defense and have experienced playing at a championship level for years and could definitely take the Hawks to the next level.

As for J-Smooth he seems to have the LAkers in pursuit of him even though the Hawks do not feel the need to plug in odom for $14.5 million a year while missing Josh's defensive presence! The Heat are said to be another team that could possibly go after smith since they still have Marion available for the offer... however they declared that they want to invest in next year's salary cap in order to acquire Carlos Boozer and therefore may not be interested in making such huge change at the moment.

So far the two teams that have gotten closest to potential deal with the Hawks are Pistons and LA... but the problem still seems to be Atlanta's dis-taste in Odom and Smith wanting too much from Detroit... Nothing has yet gotten  serious and no further rumors have been brought up but your Hawks are definitely desperate to make something out of this... and I don't blame them...!

Josh Smith is arguably the best defender in the Atlanta Hawks.Not only do the Hwaks lose a great defender,they also lose a great partner to Joe Johnson.

Plus,they lost another important J.Josh Childress was a important role player for the Hawks.I still don't understand why  he has to sign with Greece.I guess he didn't understand they he was with a young talented team that would win a few rings in the next few years.

My advice for them would be,resign him.But it's not the Hawks fault.It's Josh's.Apparently he isn't,too happy about the Hawks.The reason isn't revealed yet.

But we shall see.
