be included in any plans to reduce emissions. If CO2 is so important shouldn't all countries regardless of prosperity have to reduce?

  1. The IPCC is a scientific group.  It has nothing to do with the Kyoto Protocol or other international agreements, or with China and India's actions.  The IPCC only summarizes the science and makes recommendations.

There is no "if" here.  The IPCC really is serious about CO2.

  2. Only if the UN were about fixing problems.  However this is nothing more than a cash grab.

China and India don't have much, so they are excluded.

  3. the Kyoto agreement dose include them. it just gives them allot more leeway. china and India have already agreed to mandatory cuts for the next agreement it was only japan Canada and the us that disagreed on them.

  4. yes, everyone regardless of prosperity needs to reduce emmissions.

We all need to reduce our consumption and emmissions per capita probably to the current levels of north african mediteranian people. (many/most people in India & China hav already done this)

Otherwise we will not be able to sustain a human population of 6bn humans post-peak oil, post peak fertiliser, post peak-everything, plus adapting to climate change.

The IPCC (as part of the UN) does include China & India.

  5. Absolutely any plan that does not include China is pointless

  6. They are not serious, never were.
