In California State, if you've filed a divorce and the Judge already signed and have the finalized date for the divorce. Now all is waiting for the finalized date coming. Questions are:

1. If the respondent doesn't want to divorce now and sent it back to the court, is the marriage still sustained after the finalized date, what can he/she do?

2. If the petitioner doesn't want to divorce now, can he/she stop the divorce now? what can he/she do?

3. If both of them don't want to divorce now, will the marriage still sustained after the finalized date? or they have to re-marry to keep the husband-wife relationship? what should they do?

  1. If the judge has already signed the final paperwork then you are now legally divorced. You both can get married again. If the divorce is not final yet then have the person who filed get in touch with their attorney and let them know that you want to stop the divorce.
