I am interested in buying a TV but there is a problem with the LCD...down below I have included how the seller has described it...

ON THIS PAST TUESDAY WHEN THE LAKERS GOT BLEW OUT BY 39 IN GAME 6 AGAINST THE CELTICS I LOST IT AND ACCIDENTLY THREW MY REMOTE AT THE TV. NOW LOOK AT IT, I MESSED UP THE LCD. IVE ONLY HAD IT FOR BARELY A YEAR AND I HAVENT EVEN FINISHED PAYING FOR IT YET. MY LOSS WILL BE SOMEBODY'S GAIN. EVERYTHING WORKS ON IT GREAT EXCEPET THAT LCD. I HAVE TO SELL IT AS IS FOR SOMEONE TO REPAIR. ITS IN VERY NICE COSMETIC CONDITION AND COMES WITH POWER CABLE. THE ACTUAL SCREEN ITSELF IS PERFECT. THE LCD INSIDE IS WHATS MESSED UP. THE EXTERNAL SCREEN IS FINE. THOSE CRACKS ARE PART OF THE DISPLAY. WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF YOU CANT SEE THOSE CRACKS.

I would like to know if all I would need is a LCD Lamp to fix this problem? and would that be expensive to fix?

  1. The LCD screen has to be replaced. Generally, the cost of the new screen plus labor is comparable to a the price of a new set-forget it!
