If the Lakers could pair Kobe with anyone from the US men's team (not named Lebron) who would be the best?

well best to help the Lakers win more games. I think Carmelo and Kobe would be a great fit together or D Wade with Kobe out in LA.

Kobe would not want to play with Carmelo ,Bynum  will work fine with Kobe!!

carmelo could work. But definatly not wade. They play the same position and both want to be lead scorer. The best fit would be, some one like michael redd. Yeah you can say he's not the most talented, but he would best fit with kobes style of play. Kobe drives in the lane kicks it out to redd, and he's the best 3 point shooter in the leage... next would be chris paul, they would be good together too.

edit: and to the guy who said dwight howard, what are you thinking? The lakers have bynum, and gasol?

it couldnt be dwade or melo in my opinion cause their all big time scorers.. it would have to be someone like CP3, to drive and dish to kobe,  or find kobe on backdoor cuts and etc. Or it could be a big guy like dwight howard, to have more of a post presence for the lakers. Or you could even say someone like Michael Redd, where he could just rome the perimeter while kobe does his thing, then just stick 3's when guys double down on kobe
