Question:

If the Ozone layer is depleting, why can't we just rebuild it?

From what I read ozone is pretty easy to create, even ionic air purifiers produce pure Ozone. What is stopping people from creating a machine that could repair the atmosphere? (along with everyone taking better care of the environment, of course.)

  1. It's very hard to rebuild things that high in the air, especially when the particles in question are so extremely tiny. The Ozone layer is a natural cycle that has been tampered with and destroyed. Many scientists are trying to think up ways to repair it, but no good answers have come up.

  2. we can but it would take as long as it did to destroy it. Got time?

  3. we can re build it but the government wont pay for it, because it is making our planet nice and warm and a better place for all

  4. because we would need millions of ionic purifiers ,

and on a + note it's as i say 'healing', (it's starting to rebuilt itself)

  5. Takes energy to make ozone.

Energy is made by methods that destroy ozone.

Unless we get a fuckload of solar panels.... which...

I think the thing is, we can't build something that would replace that much ozone. I believe there is a lot up there.

  6. You need to watch the movie Highlander 2 or 3 one of them has the answer you are looking for.
