If the Republicans are so against abortion....?

Why haven't they done anything about Roe v. Wade. Abortions go on daily and they've even somewhat increased. That's a innocent child that does not have a chance at life, a child that doesn't even get to see life because that life is taken away from them. Since 1973 after the decision of Roe v. Wade, there has been 48,589,993. It's sad to say and it's a hurting thing to know that the number of abortions is so large, but we suppose to be a nation under God.

It takes more than one party to pass a law. It also takes a lot of time to get something in front of the supreme court. If a democrat gets elected president and a supreme court justice retires, then he gets to appoint someone who thinks his party's way. Then when it comes before the court again, the decision can be reversed. Politics. Hm...

Because even if they can get it changed in the Supreme Court, then it will come down to each state choosing whether to allow abortion. No matter where you stand on this, abortion rights will be in the U.S. forever. You can count on that. I'm a Republican Catholic.

It's not really your business what goes on in other peoples lives, and this is not "one nation under god", that shouldn't be in the pledge either. Religious views should not be affecting laws and decisions that the governments enacts.

Do you know WHY abortion was made legal? Instead of using your tunnel vision and closed mindedness to see "babies are dying", do a little research. Women were getting abortions regardless of legality, and A LOT were dying and getting seriously injured because of the conditions in which it happened (Bicycle spokes up their v****a, etc).

And quite frankly, your religious views should not be affecting other peoples lives and it's extremely rude for you to push your religious beliefs on other people. It sickens me that religious fundamentalists tie up things like stem cell research, WHICH COULD BE FINDING CURES FOR CANCER AND AIDS, g*y marriage (Who the h**l's business is it whether two people get married? Everyone is supposed to have equal rights in this country), and abortion -> Especially when you don't know the facts.

And not to mention, you're a guy, what do you know? You can't make the decision to be against abortion until you are a woman who has been put into the position to make the decision before.
