...insist that I have to house some in my spare bedrooms, will I be able to choose which ones I want? I've heard that Yorkshiremen are a bit, well... unhygienic!

Yes I agree - build a tall fence around that London - to keep them all in! - or better still, build one around the whole south to keep them out of the North with the s****. southern attitudes - I can't beleive that southerners (for example) even have to call food by different names - chocolate cake for example in the supermarkets is called 'Tarte au chocolat' - GET A GRIP - it's bl**dy chocolate cake!!.

I lived in that London for three years and hated every minute of it. I couldn't wait to get back up North where I have a far superior quality of life for far less than it costs southeners.

When I was in that London, I found that the typical southern attitude was that nothing exists north of Watford. Isn't it also interesting that this report was written by southerners who have no idea what it is like to live up North. If it's so bad here then why are the BBC (like so many major businesses) re-locating to Manchester?

London is so overcrowded that some of the southerners might end up having to be refugees to the North because of the lack of space. And as for your unhygienic comment - it isn't our part of the country that constantly gets hit with drought warnings that mean you in the south don't have enough water to take a wash!!.

I know you are probably having a laugh at the stupid report with this question - and shouldn't we all - I do have a sense of humour, but increasingly I find myself hearing people slate the north for no good reason. I also feel that there is a serious issue underlying this, which is a very real and negative attitude towards the North by southerners - what is the problem with the north?. If southerners were so content in the south then why is there such a (real) negative attitude towards the north?.

Incidentally, I wonder what the next pointless report will be about? Perhaps how fat people weigh more? - who pays these people to write this cr*p?.

Secondly the comment was made by a politician with the brain power of a flea.

And thirdly, as a Yorkshireman myself I would suggest you get your facts straight or at least name the scource of such stupid rubbish..

And finally....Why the h**l would we even want to think about moving down there..We do have some dignity still in Yorkshire..

id hate to live in london, it may be the capital of england but the people are the most unfriendly head up their ar** type ive ever known.

This will never work, its not viable for people to leave their town and migrate to london. London is choc as it is! we don't need people who already live in england migrating a few hundred miles south.

Also londoners wont like it! they would bully everyone with a weird accent. I know i would!

Also take into consideration, the economy will/can collapse, were at the brink of inflation and if people flock then their towns would lose business and so on!

Trust me, theres alot of things involved into this. Its indepth. Nevertheless it will never happen in masses'

Also remember this, northerners wont be able to afford the london lifestyle.

Birmingham can manage but other cities can't afford london prices like hospitality, food and entertainment to name a few!
