hmmmm......i'd have to say canada because they're right there, then of course ireland and the uk because there's more of them living here than in their own country and it would make life so much easier

Why would they annex Canada. The US controls all of Canada's larger companies anyway. Whenever a Canadian company starts to show some success, chances are that a US company will buy it.

Besides, Canada will not accept annexation unless the US offers decent universal health care. Because what you hear in the US about Canadian health care are lies. Its really a good system and the people like it.

As for resources, Canada is already the US's largest source of imported oil. The US has all of the benefits of annexation anyway and no whining about destroying the huge profits the medical industry makes in the US.

And besides, in many ways Canada is already annexed. For example, most US businesses count their Canadian revenue as "domestic" revenue when reporting earnings to Wall Street. Specially the movie business.

Even the company I work for in California has Canada on the map as just another US sales territory. Our foreign sales office specifically has Canada excluded from where it sells. Canadian sales are handled just like domestic US sales and are booked as such.

The trade between the USA and Canada is at almost $2,000,000,000 a day now. How could annexation improve that?

I like Venezuela for that Imperialistic move to take over the OPEC oil there.  Let's take over Columbia and Suriname while we are there to reduce the Northern migration of illegal aliens.  And we should make states out of Nicaragua and Panama it won't cost much more.
