  1. It would contribute to inflation big time. The government would basically be printing out money to distribute. With war money is spent in a very different way as it also (in theory) generates money.

Much like the stimulus packages, it would only be a bandaid on a wound that needs staples.

  2. Well..to start things off, money is suppose to be limited in supply, giving it value (scarcity?) If citizens were given a million dollar each day, the very next day, the value of the currency will be dropped to almost nothing, thus causing inflation. More inflation equal more spending and the cycle repeats. I'm not sure what your really asking but it sounds like the exact opposite would happen.

  3. I dont think so...but I'm not sure...because a Billion is like 1000 millions..

there are 300 million people in the US..(citizens lets say) ..therefore every three days or so the government would spend  1 Billion.....which means in a year we would spend...

    around 100 billion lets say...

(currently we are spending like a  billion a month in Iraq and borrowing 2-3 times that much from China)

so maybe you are right actually but my math is definately screwed up... and I dont have very reliable figures for total governemnt spending but its somethign like 3-4 trillion a year...  millions
