  1. Health care was originally intended to be part of the New Deal, however, the AMA vigorously fought it.  Also, the increased costs we've seen in the last few decades are most closely associated with Nixon and the HMO legislation of that time.  So if health care had been in place prior to the depression, we'd have been fine.  Back them we didn't have CAT scans and other expensive procedures.

  2. No. The expense would have been overwhelming like it would now.All the lawsuits from poor care or being denied expensive treatments will overwhelm the court system too.People really know how to take advantage of anything "free". Just wait, you will be having to pay for breast implants as a "medical necessity" for men that have been declared to have a "real" need. It will get rediculous in a big hurry. The ACLU will no doubt get involved over definitions of "medical need". I saw on the news that some serial killer with a life sentence got breast implants and the taxpayers had to pay for it. No joke!

  3. Yes.

Look at the facts, the government already spends money on healthcare.  But thanks to the system of healthcare in the USA, despite spending more money on healthcare PER PERSON in the USA, the US has one of the western worlds highest death rates for kids aged under five.

    Is that right?

  4. Well America would have already had Universial health care

If not for the democratic party.

Truman, johnson, Nixon, carter and Clinton all tried to get universial health care passed.

Each time, a Democratic majority Congress tabled the bills in Committee, and refused to allow them to be voted on.

    .........................................

For some reason, the Democrats, never mention that.

  5. Look at France for example. In 2006, the average citizen payed between 41% and 46% of their income to the government. Compare this to 30 years ago when it was nearly half that rate. It is estimated that Socialized medicine is now costing each citizen upwards of 28% of their annual income.

So, lets say that I make $50,000 per year salary. $14,000, yes that's FOURTEEN THOUSAND of my dollars, which I earned are paying for healthcare. If I have to visit the emergency room twice in one year, that is the same as me having to pay $7,000 per visit.

Think this is Bullsh**? Just wait and see.

This is opposed to now, I pay only $200 per month for my health insurance.
