If the US won't hear criticisms about its foreign policy or gun ownership policies - just let them wear it?

If criticism about US foreign policy or gun ownership or lack of medicare elicits only abuse, then the worst we can wish on them is to just let them keep doing what they're doing and drown in the results.

Do you agree or disagree?

  1. Well if that is true, you're basing what youre saying on the world being just and our iniquity eventually being our downfall.

  2. Our foreign policy could use work, I'll admit (we should either destroy countries utterly or just leave them alone, not invade and then pretend we're nice by attempting to rebuild).

But our gun ownership policies are superior to all but Switzerland.  I'd rather live in the U.S., where burglars and criminals admit they're far more afraid of being on the receiving end of a home owner's gun barrel than the U.K. where home invasions occur far more per capita than the U.S., and criminals have absolutely nothing to fear.  Indeed, the home owner is likely to get more time defending himself than the criminal would for invading his home!  But then the U.K. is a running joke these days, so perhaps it's not the best comparison.  It's still a valid one, however.
