  1. The 1812 Overture.  It'd be a bit too long to play at baseball games, but fits well with the founding of our country.

I know it was written by a Russian, but 1812 is also significant in American history because it was the year that America's second war for independence began.

  2. The "National Anthem" is a beautiful song. There is no reason to change it,leave well-enough alone.

  3. It should be a song that samples from EVERY Single genre of music in this country. This National Anthem is based on a style generated by people decades and decades ago. It does not symbolize what America is all about today

  4. The theme song for "King of the Hill" lol :-)

    Maybe "God Bless the U.S.A"

  5. we will rock you by queen

  6. the theme for American dad

good morning usa...i got  a feeling that its gonna be a beautiful day......(sing along)

  7. The "I'm Lovin' it" jingle they play during McDonald's commericals.

I'd prefer the "Imperial March" theme from Star Wars, though I don't think we'd be able to afford the rights.

  8. smoke on the water

  9. Crazy train OZZY

    America the Beautiful, nuff said

  10. Hmm, great question!  I've got several answers designed to provoke outrage from people on this board on the right and the left-I hope I haven't forgot anyone:

    The Internationale

National Anthem of the Soviet Union

    Horst Wessel Lied

    Deutschlandlied (National Anthem of Germany)

    National Anthem of Mexico

    Bolero by Revel

Seriously, there will be at least 300 million different answers.  Those on the left will prefer the Russian or Mexican songs;  those on the right will prefer the German ones.

  11. O beautiful for spacious skies,

    For amber waves of grain,

    For purple mountain majesties

    Above the fruited plain!

    America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

And crown thy good with brotherhood

    From sea to shining sea!

    O beautiful for pilgrim feet

    Whose stern impassioned stress

    A thoroughfare of freedom beat

    Across the wilderness!

    America! America!

    God mend thine every flaw,

    Confirm thy soul in self-control,

    Thy liberty in law!

    O beautiful for heroes proved

    In liberating strife.

Who more than self their country loved

    And mercy more than life!

    America! America!

    May God thy gold refine

    Till all success be nobleness

    And every gain divine!

    O beautiful for patriot dream

    That sees beyond the years

    Thine alabaster cities gleam

    Undimmed by human tears!

    America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

And crown thy good with brotherhood

    From sea to shining sea!

    O beautiful for halcyon skies,

    For amber waves of grain,

    For purple mountain majesties

    Above the enameled plain!

    America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

Till souls wax fair as earth and air

    And music-hearted sea!

    O beautiful for pilgrims feet,

    Whose stem impassioned stress

    A thoroughfare for freedom beat

    Across the wilderness!

    America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

    Till paths be wrought through

    wilds of thought

    By pilgrim foot and knee!

    O beautiful for glory-tale

    Of liberating strife

    When once and twice,

    for man's avail

    Men lavished precious life!

    America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

Till selfish gain no longer stain

    The banner of the free!

    O beautiful for patriot dream

    That sees beyond the years

    Thine alabaster cities gleam

    Undimmed by human tears!

    America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

Till nobler men keep once again

    Thy whiter jubilee!
