Especially the average to above average NBA players ......if given slightly more $$ I bet they'll go to other leagues which are slowly getting better, what do you think? (star if you agree)

  1. * I agree!  But I think money is the biggest factor moreso than the competition.

  2. They will go where the money is .Win or Lose the gold wont matter.

  3. naw i think they pay would have to be sicnificantly better.

cause i think the nba will still be better then other countries at least for another decade

  4. What does winning gold has To do with there carrer in NBA.....

I dont see the superstars Moving to other counties for money ......

lebron he is to young ...i mean he has to prove him self .... not prove prove but like win Championship and stuff......

  5. I don't believe whether the USA wins gold or not will impact how many NBA players choose to play elsewhere.

It all has to do with money.  And the truth is that there are not enough European teams with money to spend on NBA players. That is why it is very unlikely a star or even an above average NBA player will play elsewhere.

See my source for even more info.

  6. why is every body fearing about USA team. as far i know they haven't played serious games. so far it was all for show and adjustmentt.

  7. winning the gold or not will not affect the players to go elsewhere. nba is the best basketball in the world where they play an entire season for several months plus the playoffs. less than ten games in the olympics is a great opportunity to show case their talents but its an entirely different competition.

players go where they can play and earn good money. if they can't get it in the nba then elsewhere. ever heard of the aba and cba? players still prefer the nba.

  8. It all depends on who offers the best contracts.

The NBA is still the financially best pro basketball venue on the planet.  Many foreign NBA players will play for their home countries in the Olympics anyway, but they will be back on an NBA court this fall.

You might see a few NBA players jump to other leagues, but I don't expect a mass exodus by any means.

  9. Yes, they will go if they receive more money. One of the reason is that get paid in Euros which is equal to about $1.60 US currency and if you get paid in millions well you do the math.

Rumor going on Lebron is going to leave NBA for $50 million a year in the EuroLeague. He probably will go cuz no one in the NBA is willing to pay even close to that.

Now days, most of the people in the NBA play for money and not for passion like in the old days. Things change over time. Some are for the good of things and some are not. Lets just hope that this isn't going to be a bad thing in the future.

  10. I hope, so..honestly I'd like to see the NBA bomb in general. Here's my thoughts of the NBA as a whole, the sports is a joke 7'5 guys jumping for a 10 ft rim (not impressive) taking shots from out side the Key fine, talented. However that the majority of the NBA is made up of societies rejects. Many of these guys couldn't make it as a rapper or a Street thug (or still are a wanna be street thug). hold no positive roles what so ever in the eyes of the fans, not to mention they are all over paid babies " Foul, i got hit with a elbow while jumping, blah blah blah" yet you can find them in the stands throwing fists with fans, who pay their salaries. many of these guys are payed way too much money and never stepped a foot in a college, come on this is absurd, yes i know the pay scale is the same in all sports but not all sports are made up of High school drop out " tuff guys". Basketball has become non more then a Reality show, or something you'd see on Jerry Springer. Not to mention the high Drag and Legal problems that follow the "role models" of the NBA..So so i see them going else where..i say good bye, and I'd even buy their tickets.
