If the United States had a Rugby League, could it be successful? Why or why not?

I think that a Rugby League in the United States happening and being very successful. If the United States had a major Rugby League, I think that you should start of with two conferences with 10 teams, five teams on each conference. I see there being an Eastern Conference with teams in Detroit, Atlanta, New York, Florida (either Tampa Bay or Miami) and Baltimore. For the Western Conference, I could see Los Angeles, Texas (either Houston or Dallas), Phoenix, Seattle, and Denver.

it might be but im not sure, because professional football would be hard to compete with but i think after some time it would start to win some people over
