  1. A federal bank is a function of the U.S. government.

    ALL federal property is exempt from taxation by lower levels of government (state,county,city).


  2. The banks are merely a type of corporation.

    If they do for-profit business in Maryland, then they pay taxes there.

    Why would a bank be exempt from taxes?

  3. Any bank operating in Maryland should be tax by the state because it uses property and affects of the people therein.

  4. Because we are Republic, The states share soverenty with the Federal government.
