If the Yankees could get Roy Halladay form Toronto should they?

I think they should. I think if they give up Darrel Rasner and a couple of prospects they could get it done. Roy Halladay is a great pitcher and he deserves to pitch on a team that is a playoff contender, not a team like Toronto who is rebuilding. I am a Yankee fan, but I'm not sure that they can contend in the playoffs against great offenses without an ace like Halladay . There has been a hole in the rotation ever since Wang got hurt and he's the perfect one to fill it.

  1. Wow you guys literally go out and get every player you can. Do you even have a farm system lol

  2. There is no way the Jays give up Halladay for Darrel Rasner(whoever that is) and prospects. They would never deal him to the Yankees anyway. They are in the same division.

  3. Hallayday will stay with Toranto

  4. Yeah they definetly should theyve missed on so many pitchers its not even funny. They have a good pitching staff buck lack good depth and the bottom of there rotation lacks potential with guys like Ponson. Getting Halladay who is one of the top 5 pitchers in the league would be scary imagina having to face Wang, Halladay, and Pettite in the playoffs. The only problem the Yankees have is they would have to give alot to get Halladay were talking 2 or 3 elite prospects and a starter like Cano. I cant see the Yankees going after Halladay especially with the new ownership who are putting alot of emphasis into improving there minor league system.

  5. h**l yes! he is best pitcher in game when healthy!

  6. First off, I'd love to see the Yanks get Roy Halladay. Not only is he a beast, but he's dominated the Yankees, so it would solve two problems in giving the Yanks an ace and eliminating a threat.

But let's be real: The Yankees are not getting Halladay. Toronto would be foolish to trade him to a division rival. And we sure won't see him in New York for Rasner and a couple of minor leaguers. The Yanks would have to give up Cano, Edwar Ramirez and a couple of highly-touted minor leaguers who could be major league-ready pretty quickly for that to happen.

It's a nice dream, but a dream nonetheless. We're not getting Halladay unless he becomes a free agent.

  7. The Toronto Blue Jays are not giving the Yankees [a team in their division their ace].

  8. NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. When Burnett and Haladay are gone form their rotation, there's not a single pitcher who can win a game in their team. Besides, there "rebuilding". Why should they giv up haladay while their rebuilding?

  9. Toronto would never trade Halladay to a division rival like the Yankees. Even if they got Joba, Hughes, Kennedy, and Melky. They would never trade for Rasner and prospects.
