  1. it does not count as an out.. it counts as a fielded ball. the same as if the ball had been fielded off the ground. this is why u see m any major league outfielders play angles on the ball **** off the walls instead of going after the catch

  2. It's in play, no out.

  3. It's just like a normal ball in play. They gotta throw it in. It's just like if it hit the ground.

  4. they should throw it somewhere

  5. it's not an out it's a regular hit

  6. It's a base hit off the wall, assuming the runner makes it to a base safely.

    Duh...

  7. The ball is in play. The runner can advance as far as they can go. It is equivalent to a fielder catching a ball on one bounce.

  8. It's a base hit for the batter. Not out.

  9. Not out. Although, if it hits about the HR line, it's a homerun regardless of whether or not someone catches it.

  10. If the balls is in play then play continues just like it would after any other hit. A ball that is caught after it bounces off the wall (before it touches the ground) is not considered an out. So, runners are free to advance at their own risk.

If the ball hits a wall in foul territory then it is a fould ball and the play is dead.

If a ball hits the top of the outfield fence and goes over the wall then it is considered a home run.

  11. well it depends, if its in foul territory and it hits the wall, its considered a foul ball, even if you catch it. if its in fair territory, its live, even if you catch it also. hope it helps...

  12. Unless it was off some part where the ground rules come into play it is a live ball.  The batter has a hit and is entitled to get as many bases as he can.

  13. if a ball hits a wall it is a live ball... the (person) who hit it is not out. the outfielder has to throw it in. but if it is foul then the ball will go foul if it bounced. if the ball was in air in foul land and someone caught it and it didn't hit anything it is a out

  14. unless the ball is caught on the fly it is in play. So the outfielder has to play it off the wall.

  15. It is still in play duh....

  16. A ball in play touched by a fan results in a dead ball with a base awarded to the hitter and all runners on base from where they were when the ball was interfered with.

The most common play is the fly ball into the outfield which bounces up within a fan's reach.  This usually equals a double as the hitter has already attained first base with the hit.  The second base is awarded by the Umpire.

  17. If your asking if the ball bounces off the wall and goes into the stands which I can't figure out how it would do that, it would be a ground rule double. If your asking if the ball bounces off the wall and a player catches it, it's still in play.
