  1. do u mean to say the ball directly hits the helmet of batsman?

if the ball hits the helmet of batsman without touching the bat its not out. if the ball had hit the bat & then helmet of batsman or fielder & catch is taken then its out

  2. if the ball gets an edge then hits the batsmen helmet and a fielder catches it then it is out but if the batsmen hits ball onto a fielders helmet at short leg and a fielder catches it then it is not out like the other day when Chanderpaul hit the ball onto short legs helmet and a fielder caught it it was not out because you cant be out of a fielders helmet

  3. NEVER. MAY BE PARTHIV MAY HAVE SHOUTED IN THE FINALS FOR DISMISSING Y,PATHAN BUT ITS DEFINITELY NOT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Nope.!!

  5. No its not OUT as it the ball must touch bat or Batsman's forearm.

  6. Yes, dude.

  7. Only if conctact was made with ball and bat, can it be caught and called out, assuming that the ball never touched the ground from when it touched the bat to the fielders hands.

  8. no its not out. it has to be out if the bat hits the ball

  9. no that's a not out.as per the rule before catching the ball the ball should touch the forearm or the bat.

  10. Well ,  there are 2 scenarios here :

    1. The ball hits the batsman's helmet and is caught in the field. In such a situation , if the ball has not hit the batsman's bat or hand ( uptil the elbows ), then he is not out.

    2. The batsman hits the ball, and the ball hits the close in fielder's helmet , and then pops to another fielder who catches it. Here too, the batsman is not out, as the helmet is considered to have defflected the ball and thus the batsman cannot be given out.
