If the ball hits the helmet of the batsman what would it be termed?

I want to know that if a ball touches the helmet of the batsman or hits him hard than in such a scenario what decision umpire would pass?

Probaly if the batsman is ok it maybe runs , or if the batsman is out cold or holding his head it may be a daed ball
